             Home Birth $4500

  • Birth in your own home

  • One on one care in your home

  • 2nd midwife attendance during birth

  • Birthing equipment and medications included

  • Continuity of Care

  • If hospital transfer is required, your midwife will attend hospital with you as a support person.

  • If choosing home birth with Soft Steps we highly recommend opting for the antenatal and postnatal care packages.

  • Currently no medicare rebate applies

Hosp Support / ☎️the midwife $2700

  • This is for women planning a hospital birth who are wanting midwifery continuity of care.

  • Have a midwife (the same midwife) on call throughout your pregnancy, for texts (for non-urgent questions) and phone calls.

  • Birth planning and education.

  • The hospital support role is for Soft Steps to purely be there as a friendly/ known face/ your very own support person who you know and trust. (not as your midwife).

  • This service also includes early labour support at home if this something you are interested in.

  • This package does not include antenatal and postnatal care.

‍ ‍Antenatal Care Packages $1600

  • Have all your antenatal appointments in your own home

  • Self referral

  • Continuity of care

  • Prescriptions

  • Ultrasound referral forms

  • Pathology forms

  • Birth planning and education

  • Appointments typically 1- 1.5 hours

  • Up to $1000 medicare rebates apply

‍ ‍Postnatal Care Package $1800

  • Have all your postnatal appointments in the comfort of your own home

  • Day 1 after having your baby until 7 weeks

  • Continuity of Care

  • Appointments typically 1-1.5 hours

  • Newborn screening test

  • Baby weights

  • Assistance with breast / bottle feeding

  • Arranging contraception

  • 6 week check

  • Up to $1000 medicare rebates apply
