Antenatal Appointments in Denmark

Location:

  • All antenatal appointments are held in Denmark.

  • The only exception is a necessary GP visit for patients birthing at the hospital.

Hospital Booking:

  • Your hospital booking can be arranged in Denmark, and we will forward your information to the maternity unit.

Fees:

  • All appointments are bulk billed for Medicare card holders.

  • Private fees apply for non-Medicare holders; please contact us for details.

Schedule:

  • Initial Visit

  • 8–14 weeks

  • 16 weeks

  • 18–20 weeks (includes hospital booking appointment)

  • 24 weeks

  • 28 weeks

  • 32–34 weeks

  • 36 weeks

  • 38 weeks

  • 40 weeks

  • 41 weeks

Postnatal Care

Early Postnatal Visits (Days 1, 3, and 5):

  • Hospital Midwife Service: A hospital visiting midwife service is available for home visits on Day 1, Day 3, and Day 5.

  • Our Clinic: If you prefer, we can also see you for these bulk-billed home visits, provided you are within the local area.

Follow-Up Appointments:

  • Day 7

  • 2 Weeks

  • 3–4 Weeks

  • 6-Week Check: A comprehensive check for both you and your baby, which can replace the standard GP 6-week check.

  • * All appointment bulk billed for medicare card holders. Private fees apply for non Medicare card holders.
